Lynn Yew Evers Homecoming Concert in Ipoh

Ipoh-born award-winning pianist-cum-composer Lynn Yew Evers is back home, not only to perform for fans, but to support Perak Women For Women’s effort to raise funds for a temporary shelter for women and children in crisis.

Lynn, who is now based in the United States of America, had the idea to perform for her hometown fans in conjunction with the release of her latest album, Elysian. This would be Lynn’s first concert in Malaysia since immigrating to the US 6.5 years ago.

Known among friends simply as Hooi Leng, Lynn is a multi-talented concert pianist who also composes, arranges and produces her own music. She has kindly agreed to perform a concert where all proceeds will be channelled to PWW’s cause.

Perak Women For Women is a non-profit organisation that was established some 13 years ago with the objective to enhance the status and lives of women in Perak and their children who are victims of abuse and discrimination.

This cause is exceptionally meaningful to Lynn as she was a single mother to her three kids for eight years and knows first-hand the challenges faced by women in such a situation.
