Looking Out For the Homeless in Ipoh During Movement Control Order

During these tough times under the Restriction of Movement Order (RMO) and curfew in the city from 7pm until 7am, the Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh) has stepped forward to look out for the homeless community.

Fifty packets of food were prepared and distributed among the homeless, who were found loitering in Ipoh Old Town, New Town, Silibin, Buntong, Greentown, Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), Dato’ Tahwil Azar Food Court, Fair Park, Ipoh Garden, Simee and the Stadium area.

MBI hopes that the meal, the first of many to come, will at least lessen their burden, especially during this COVID-19 global pandemic.

Note: Faces of recipients have been blurred to protect their identities.

With love
