Let’s Help Grant The Wishes of Children This Christmas

Ipoh Parade’s annual Grant A Wish programme in conjunction with Christmas is into its seventh year now.

Similar to past years, a Christmas wishing board has been put up at the mall’s Main Court, where children have written down their wishes so that shoppers (and the public at large) could help to grant their wishes. This year, more than two hundred children have been invited to participate in this programme.

Come, let’s join hands to realise the dreams of kids from selected children’s homes in Perak. It is in the spirit of Christmas to share the joy with those who are in need.

Well-wishers who would like to fulfil a kid’s wish can easily do so by dropping a gift in the donation box placed by the Information Counter on the Ground Floor of the mall. This donation box is available until 30th December, 2016.

All gifts, irrespective of new or pre-loved, donated will certainly make this Christmas more memorable for the needy children.

Cash donations will be utilised by the management to purchase gifts for those kids whose wishes are still left on the board at the end of the campaign.

On 31st Dec, 2016, children from all participating homes will be invited to the mall for a gift presentation and unwrapping ceremony. What a fun-filled event it would be to see the happy faces of the kids.

During the press conference to announce this campaign, two charitable organisations received donations of RM10,000 each, from the Tan Sri Tan Foundation, which was represented by foundation council member Dato’ Richard Ong.

The recipients, Perak Palliative Care Society was represented by Mrs. Gauddi Roy while Mr. Walter was present on behalf of Bethany Home of Teluk Intan, Perak.

This is the first year the Tan Sri Tan Foundation is collaborating with Ipoh Parade mall owners, ARA Asset Management Limited (ARA), to reach out to even more needy folk in the community.

Besides these two charitable organisations, Tan Sri Tan Foundation is also donating RM10,000 each to six other organisations, through three other malls owned by ARA as part of the larger ARA CARES (Comprehensive Assistance & Responsible Engagement Services) initiative, during this Christmas season.

As with the annual tradition of Ipoh Parade, an extensive Christmas programme has been drawn up throughout the month of December.

Shoppers can look forward to many Christmas-themed activities, including dance performances, Santa meet-and-greet, magic shows and more. The Main Court of the mall has already been transformed into a Christmas Balloon Wonderland, to the delight of young children.

Additionally, shoppers who spend at least RM158 at the mall from 16th to 31st December, 2016, are entitled to redeem a crystal glass for free.
