Launch of Clearwater Bay Resort (Phase 2B)
The launch of Clearwater Bay Resort (Phase 2B) went smoothly with much fanfare, according to Chinese customs and tradition, despite heavy downpour. Ipoh City Mayor Dato’ Hj. Roshidi Hashim was on hand to do the honours. Jack Lim, more popularly known as “Ah Beng”, also made a special appearance much to the delight of fans. 2000 copies of his comics were distributed for free that evening.
Stage performances included singing, dancing, and the much anticipated Spring Water Drum, which was first showcased at the Beijing Olympics in China back in 2008. The prancing of 88 lions from thirteen troupes from all over Perak added to the festive mood.
In his speech, Dato’ Roshidi was glad to note the project’s strategic location; near Ipoh City and easily accessible to the Ipoh – Lumut Expressway. He was also impressed with the quality, design and layout of the houses, which match the standards of developments in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, yet being sold at more affordable prices.
Jack Lim, who is now an owner of one of the 2 1/2 Zero storey bungalow units, is confident that this new township would be a tourist destination as he is currently shooting his latest movie production, Once Upon A Time, to be released sometime during Chinese New Year 2013.
The launching ceremony wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks display that lasted some ten minutes. Check out the rest of my post to see for yourself what transpired that evening, a breathtaking showcase brought to us especially by World Trend Corporate Sdn.
