Kinta Riverwalk Opens

The uniqueness of Ipoh as a heritage tourism city is further established through the opening of Kinta Riverwalk yesterday. It is expected to increase the presence of local and foreign tourists in the city, in addition to indirectly creating fresh opportunities for small traders as well as boosting the business of existing traders in the area.

The development of Kinta Riverwalk is a continuation of the Ipoh Heritage Trail that was developed previously to provide more attractions in the city centre, specifically within the Ipoh City Tourism Triangle. This development complements the planning of the Old Town Tourism Area as outlined in the Special Area Plan (RKK) and Ipoh Walkable City as well as the Ipoh Local Plan 2035.
