Ipoh & the Kinta Valley Exhibition: Heritage Lost

I was in town last Saturday and decided to drop by 15 Clarke Street to check out IpohWorld’s exhibition on Ipoh and the Kinta Valley.

This exhibition, titled “Ipoh and the Kinta Valley: Heritage Lost” is on-going until tentatively 30th June, so if you are interested in the history of Ipoh and Kinta Valley but have yet to visit, do make time to drop by.

The exhibition included an inaugural Leong Sin Nam annual lecture with the same title by IpohWorld founder, Commander (R) Ian Anderson.

Though you might have missed the hour-long lecture, which was delivered last Saturday afternoon, there is still plenty to see and learn from the exhibition.

Presented on the ground floor of 15 Clarke Street, this photography exhibition documents the old days of Ipoh and the Kinta Valley, especially during the tin mining era. These photographs enclosed in my post are merely a preview.

On the first floor of the building, known as LSN Hall, hosted simultaneously is the photo exhibition of The Life and Times of Leong Sin Nam.

Do go to view these two exhibitions yourself. Admission is free of charge.

Tues – Sat: 10am – 5pm
Sun: 1pm – 5pm

    Since it is free, those who are nearby should really pay this exhibition a visit. 🙂
