Introducing: Beanie Speciality Cinema Hall & Family-Friendly Movie Sessions @ TGV Cinemas Klebang
Read till the end to score some freebies!
Cinema-goers in Ipoh and neighbouring towns will be delighted to know that the newly opened TVG Cinemas at Aeon Mall Ipoh Klebang boasts a speciality cinema hall called Beanie and offers family-friendly movie sessions.
Beanie Hall
This is the top choice among many a courting couple as beanie pods are more comfortable than standard cinema seats. In fact, pregnant women, youngsters and parents with young children would enjoy such a seat as well.
This is the second Beanie Hall in Perak after AEON Taiping. TGV Cinemas is the only company that offers Beanie Halls in Malaysia. TGV Cinemas Klebang has seven cinema halls, one of which is this dedicated Beanie Hall. There are fifteen beanie pods to accommodate 30 pax at a time.
Tickets for the Beanie Hall are sold at RM50 per pod – which means that with one ticket enters two adults and a child below 120cm (if any).
Good news: Tickets for Beanie Hall are currently sold at RM42 each – promotion ends on 31st October, 2016.
Family-Friendly Movie Sessions
Are your fidgety kids keeping you and your spouse away from a movie date? If so, you’d be glad to know that TGV Cinemas Klebang has the solution for you. Family-friendly movie sessions cater to young families, so crying babies and running toddlers are most welcome!
There is a clean diaper-changing corner in the hall itself for the convenience of parents, PLUS the hall is within a short stroll from the washroom. The hall is near the car park. Moreover, there is space for strollers.
During family-friendly sessions, the volume of the audio is reduced and there will be dim light in the hall, as opposed to total darkness at a standard cinema screening. All of these factors have been taken into consideration, so young couples could still go for a movie date even while caring for their babies and/or toddlers.
Family-friendly movie sessions are held once at the first session of screening on Saturdays and Sundays and twice per day during school holidays.
Good news: Tickets for family-friendly sessions are cheaper at RM10 per parent and RM5 per child (4 – 12 years old).
TGV Cinemas Klebang opened for business about a month ago. This is the 3rd TGV multiplex cinemas in Ipoh after AEON Kinta City and AEON Station 18; and the 33rd in Malaysia. With seven cinema halls, there are 1272 seats in total.
During my movie outing yesterday to watch Train to Busan, I noticed that besides the generous legroom in the cinema halls, the pathways are also very broad. Something different about TGV Cinemas is that cinema-goers exit the hall after the movie using the same entry way. We don’t need to leave the hall through the back exit as though we are no longer valued guests. LOL
By the way, the self-service ticket kiosks really help to cut the queue of buying tickets at the box office. Well, that is, if you do not fancy doing so online.
Good news: TGV Cinemas Klebang is running an opening promotion for moviegoers until 31st October, 2016:
1) Enjoy RM2 off every ticket purchased2) Online ticket buyers may redeem a complimentary drink (while stocks last)
Regular promotion for Maybank card holders:
1) RM10 per ticket on Wednesdays for shows before 6pm
2) Buy 1 Get 1 Free ticket for all showtimes on Thursdays

I wish Melaka have TGV Cinema. The self service tickets kioks is great!!
At first I was thinking Klebang as in the Klebang coconut milkshake at Melaka Hehe… But love the initiative by TGV esp the family-friendly. Makes it so much more fun and convenient for us parents with kids who just wanna have some family time at the movie.
The beanie hall seems so special. I want to go too!!
