I was just yearning for a reprieve.

I went to pamper myself the other day at Forest Colour to get the kinks out of my muscles, especially in my neck and shoulders.
The session began with a foot bath in a tub of lavender water. Its scent calms and soothes, but the real benefit of lavender is its anti-bacterial properties.
Once the foot bath was done, it was followed by head, neck & back massage using ginger aromatic oil. I usually opt out of oil for body massage but this time, I decided to go with it. The oil was not overpowering, both in terms of smell and greasiness. In fact, it made a good base for the sea salt body scrub that ensued.
Sea salt was used for its multiple advantages, which includes improving skin tone and texture for a healthier glow to the skin, improvement in blood circulation, removes inflammation by killing bacteria, exfoliation of dead skin cells to allow the new layer of skin to hydrate and rejuvenate, as well as to re-mineralise the body.
After scrubbing and leaving the salt on for some minutes, it was time to wash it all off in the en-suite shower. Ahhhh, so refreshed with new skin!
The last and final part of the treatment was a moisturising facial using Forest Colour products. Yes, you read right!
