Image & Grooming Workshop by International Image Consultant Carman Loh
Organised by the Perak Family Health Association, international image consultant Carman Loh was engaged to impart his knowledge at an image and grooming workshop last Saturday.
With more than thirty years of experience, Carman not only shared the Dos and Don’ts but also brought life to the workshop with his humour.
There is a saying that goes, “Your face is your fortune.” How true is this?
Whether we want to believe it or otherwise, Carman has groomed many people over the course of his career and all of them have found success in life.
We are born with our features (face structure), therefore, it is something that we have to live with, unless we undergo drastic plastic surgery.
Depending on what we like to pursue, we can enhance some aspects of our features, or downplay them, all by using make-up.
Obviously, over the years, a person’s face may change due to age, medication, serious illness or some other reason.
This is why our face may have a certain element now (based on the five elements of Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth) and change to something else later on in life.
Besides giving us practical lessons on make-up, Carman also shared tips on dressing, with lighter colour at the top followed by darker at the bottom.
He also taught us how to accessorise to give flair to an outfit and how to dress to suit an occasion.
Although this workshop is over (too bad if you missed it at a great deal of only RM100!), what you can take away from reading this post is: the winning colours for the Year of the Monkey (2016) are blue, white and gold.
So, how do you take advantage of these colours to work for you, yet at the same time make sure that they complement the element of your face?
For that, you have to look for the Sifu himself. Meanwhile, these workshop participants, all fifty of us, are entitled to a free one-to-one session with Carman!
Carman can be reached at +6019-4212999. He is available for wardrobe consultation, closet analysis, personal shopping, personal grooming, personal feng shui make-up course, professional make-up, hairdo and more. Check out his Facebook Page: Loh Carman International Image Consultant

Wow. Wow. Wow! I’ve been to grooming classes before and yes it’s true that there’s dos and donts. But the problem with me is I often dress the way I want. haha! Anyways, if I’m not mistaken each one of us do not have same colour preference and it’s depend on how dark is your vein color showing in your wrist. Well, with your given tips, I might rock blue, white and gold till the end of next year. 😛
Wah, make up for the year of Monkey! That’s to suit the Feng Shui for that year? That’s interesting hehe. Will the instructor conduct classes in KL?
Yeah such a great experience to learn grooming and image! Definitely useful for all of us when we’re working adult 🙂

Image is very important. When we have no time to talk to others in depth, image is the first thing we can make our judgment.
