The more than 100-years-old Huat Tian Keong (Black Datuk) cave temple in Bercham, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia celebrated the birthday of its main deity in grand style over the weekend. One of the events lined up included a street procession over a distance of 4.5 kilometres along the main streets of Bercham in Ipoh on Saturday evening.

The Huat Tian Keong cave temple is located behind The Bougainvillea Club, a recreational club that looks like a castle sitting atop a hill (GPS Coordinates: N 04 37.900′ E101 07.894′) in Bercham, Ipoh. The main attraction of the temple, in my opinion, is the 60-feet long “dragon” at the entrance of the cave temple. I should go and take some shots during the day…
