Heaven MC Lumut TLDM Navy Ride

In the spirit of bikerhood, approximately a hundred members of Heaven MC (Harley-Davidson motorcycle club) made a convoy to Lumut, Perak, at the invitation of the Royal Malaysian Navy last Sunday, 11th June 2023.

Converging in Ipoh the day before, the bikers and their spouses joined by ten gutsy lady bikers, who came from neighbouring states, and as far away as Kelantan on the East Coast, in a show of support for the weekend ride, organised by Perak Chapter Director (State President), Justin Koay.

Heaven MC is one of the largest Harley-Davidson motorcycle clubs in Malaysia. Founded in 2016 by Nick Lum, the current president, there are 8 chapters including Singapore, with the objective of bringing Harley owners together, who are of the same mental wavelength.

The Perak Chapter, headquartered in Ipoh, was established three years ago, with ten core members. It now has about 45 members. The total membership count for Heaven MC is 350 and growing.

What is appealing about Heaven MC to Harley owners is that it does not charge a membership fee, unlike most other clubs. Also, there is no pressure to ride or participate in its many organised convoys. After all, its motto is: Free, ride. Not free, next time.

A community of Harley-Davidson motorcycle owners, besides being members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) by default, Heaven MC is being run with a corporate culture in mind, where members get to enjoy lots of perks, such as loyalty discounts and rewards when they shop and dine.
