Goddess Hong Ying Shrine During Datuk’s Birthday Celebration 2014
This unique Goddess Hong Ying is well-known for her compassion for all sentient beings. She is also the guardian Goddess of Macau.
These photos were taken during the birthday celebration of Datuk Panglima Rahim, observed at this shrine annually on Nov 27 (Gregorian calendar) at 11am.
Besides this celebration, other auspicious festivals observed yearly at this shrine are Goddess of Mercy on 6th moon 19th day of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, Goddess Hong Ying on 6th moon 23rd day, General Lord Kuan Ti on 6th moon 24th day.
Meanwhile, Tua Pek Kong Festival is celebrated on the second day of the second month of the Lunar calendar.
Other festivals observed annually albeit on a modest scale are Goddess of Mercy on 2nd moon 19th day and 9th moon 19th day.
Goddess Hong Ying shrine in Bercham, Ipoh provides complimentary vegetarian lunch to devotees twice monthly on the 1st and 15th days of the Chinese Lunar Calendar at 11.30am.
Religious and spiritual consultation is available at this shrine daily from 10am to 3.30pm. Other services are fate analysis, spiritual healing and blessing, matrimonial harmony as well as enhancement of luck, fortune and prosperity for devotees. They can also consult the Goddess regarding auspicious dates concerning important or special occasions.
