The occasion of Halloween is the beauty school’s annual event that offered students the opportunity and freedom of expression to apply what they had learned at school. Although the general theme is Halloween, the sub-themes change year by year to give the event novelty.

Besides the nail category, there were three makeup themes, namely Skeleton, Cosplay and Carnival/Zombie.

This competition was exceedingly stiff and the judges certainly had a difficult time deciding on the entrants who should advance to the next round. In the end, there could only be a champion each for the makeup and nail competition. Bagging the top prize for makeup was Chia Mei Yan with her entry Suicide Clown in the Cosplay category, while Ng Hui Qiong emerged first in the nail competition. Her bells inevitably drew the attention of everyone. Besides the main prizes, the subcategories were Most Creative, Best Costume and Most Popular.

The audience was undeniably included in this interesting programme, apart from having an inspiring evening witnessing the skilful creations of the students. Eight attendees were awarded Best Dressed, as voted by the audience. What a surprise it was for those selected! Additionally, there were generous prizes given away via lucky draws, too.
