Giant Balloon Performance: CNY Edition
I bumped into a giant balloon performance by Au Young the Clown last evening at Kinta City. I didn’t have my camera with me, so I had to use my backup, which was my mobile phone.
Obviously, it could barely handle the challenges posed by the setup plus the peculiarity of the stage act. Nonetheless, I am glad to share with you some photos.
I have to say that I have watched this giant balloon performance by Au Young the Clown multiple times since he introduced it to the public some seven years ago.
Despite this, I still get goose bumps each time I watch it live. I mean, how does one stuff himself into a balloon? It continues to boggle my mind.
These days, Au Young only presents his giant balloon act on special occasions. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, do watch it live. It is not something that you should give a miss, trust me.
Last evening, after the performance, Au Young was surrounded by some of his biggest fans, the children. He gamely made balloon sculptures for them, using their own chosen favourite balloon colours.

That giant balloon where he gets into it look so funny. Its like a starfish. haha
that is something you do not quite see everyday… it sure is interesting… lol

I haven’t watch a clown performance for a while, but Au Young performance seems something a must-watched. This is the first time I saw a human playing inside the balloon.. oopps kids, do not follow.
What a great performance by Au Young! Can’t really figure how can he stuff himself inside the balloon! haha
