This Deepvali Open House hosted by Y.B. Dato’ S. Veerasingam, Special Adviser to Perak Chief Minister, was one of the open houses I attended on the first day of Deepavali. It was held at the Ipoh City Hall.
Looking through my blog post on last year’s Deepavali open house, this year’s somehow did not seem as colourful. Perhaps it was the venue, or maybe it is because I was unable to obtain Dato’ Veerasingam’s autograph this time around. Haha!
Dato’ Veerasingam’s 9-year-old granddaughter, Amisha, once again entertained guests with her singing. This year, she even rendered a Korean song! I had no idea of its title, but it certainly wasn’t PSY’s Oppa Gangnam Style.
Kids from selected children’s home in and around Ipoh, who were invited to the open house, were delighted to receive an angpow each on this very joyous occasion.
