Deepavali falls on October 22nd this year and in conjunction with this Festival of Lights, the chefs at Impiana Hotel Ipoh under the leadership of Executive Chef S. Saravanan, have prepared a luscious buffet spread of Indian cuisine.

Of course, the thing we most look forward to when it’s time for a celebration is the excuse to a feast. During Deepavali, it’s time to load up on the curries and sweet meats!

Served at the hotel’s Coffee House beginning from October 20th to 26th, diners are in for a real treat all day long – for lunch, hi-tea, buffet dinner and weekend BBQ dinner.

Special highlights include Aloo Gosht (Pakistani-style lamb curry), prawn kurma, Indian fish curry, chicken paratel, spicy squid masala and rassam (traditional Indian soup).

Not all the dishes are spicy, as you can see from my photos here. Therefore, those who have a lower tolerance level of spicy food can still enjoy a fulfilling meal here.
