I had the opportunity to spend a night at Belum Rainforest Resort recently while on a familiarisation trip to Royal Belum. Since it was not my first trip out to this state park, I welcomed the resort-style amenities that I would not get to enjoy if I were to spend the night in the forest of Belum.

As Belum Rainforest Resort is one of Malaysia’s premier ecotourism holiday destinations, guests are expected to enjoy the natural environment to its fullest. Hence, there is no television set in the rooms and internet connectivity is most of the time unreliable.

Depending on the room or chalet allocated, you will be greeted by stunning views of Temenggor Lake when you start the morning, awoken by the cheerful chirpy music from the birds that call Pulau Banding home.
