Authentic Restaurant-Style Chinese Cooking @ Haw Teng

Restaurant Haw Teng in Ipoh Garden South is quite hidden from view, but it is no less a popular eatery among residents of the area.

Offering restaurant-style Chinese cooking, without a matching price tag, its menu encompasses noodles and Western for breakfast, soup noodles including fish head soup, fried rice of multiple variants as well as rice dishes with chicken, pork, fish fillet and even beef of various preparations.

Besides serving walk-in customers with breakfast and lunch, Restaurant Haw Teng also does takeaway with a dedicated hi-tea counter with noodles, snacks and tong sui.

On Saturdays, the restaurant opens its mixed rice counter, making available tens of dishes to pick and choose from.

Also, for families who don’t fancy cooking, Haw Teng does meal catering as well, from Mondays to Saturdays. Not sure of their pricing, but based on the number of tiffin carriers on their counter, it’s good business. I take that to mean reasonable prices, besides tasty food!
