Andaman Group Reinvest in Staff Grooming & Social Etiquette Training
Staying true to their recently won award, Best Employer of the Year at the 2015 The Star Outstanding Business Award (SOBA), Andaman Group generously reinvested in their staff by sending them for an extensive grooming and social etiquette training.
The first batch of twenty staff attended one session on December 16, 2015, while the second batch of another twenty staff attended another session on the following day, held at Emage Academy Centre.
Managing Director of Andaman Group Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew attended both sessions.
The company have long been known for rewarding their buyers with unlimited opportunities to high profile seminars such as the Masters of Wealth 2015 Live with Robert Kiyosaki wealth seminar in Petaling Jaya two months ago.
Believing that their employees are the biggest stakeholders, Andaman Property Group have made it a point not to miss out on rewarding them too.
Said Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew, “Employees are the ones who create and deliver the products or services that the customers consume. If we lose or antagonise our best employees then customer service will suffer, so we need to look after them well. If we want to attract and retain top talent at all levels then we have to offer terms and conditions that are attractive.”
The training module consisted of components for self and corporate branding. The participants were put through unique and practical processes which allowed them to take action from their vision by overcoming barriers that inhibit their current image.
Through this day-long session, they learnt the importance of looking their very best, the appropriate way to carry themselves as well as person-to-person communication which will enhance their self-image, poise, deportment, confidence level, social interaction and business skills, among others.
The training also allowed them to understand the effectiveness of looking good by including a hands-on make-over guidance.
To allow the participants to put this into practice, a showdown amongst them was held on the final day of the training. A panel of judges comprising the recently-crowned Miss Andaman World 2015 Carron Kho and Malaysia’s top fashion model Wilson Tan, judged the trainees. Points were given based on how much they have learnt during the training on how to project a positive personal image and social etiquette.
Most importantly, everyone had fun! And just in time to usher in the New Year with a new image!
