A Cleaner Kampung Pasir Putih
After some days following the collective complaint from residents of Kampung Pasir Putih, Ipoh City Council had the area cleared of rubbish on 26th Feb, 2016.
According to the main complainant, Puan Salmah, not only was that area dirty and smelly, it was also a breeding ground for the dreaded Aedes mosquitoes. As though these weren’t bad enough, the site is a spot for illegal burning as well and the stench of burnt rubber was adversely affecting the health of residents.
The road, between Zainal Abidin Mosque and Kuan Woh Yuen, is regularly used by the residents, particularly children and senior citizens, as it is a shortcut to town.
It is the duty of every resident to ensure that the area is kept clean. So, let us hope that it remains so after being cleared of rubbish by City Council workers.
