Although basically a lacklustre match, it was still important to both South Africa and Canada to avoid the wooden spoon.
On paper, South Africa are the better team as they are world number 12, while Canada are at 16. Also, South Africa have already qualified for the World Cup this May.
Unfortunately for the players, the afternoon sun beat down incessantly. Even locals found the heat and humidity unbearable.
In the end, Canada managed to avoid ending the tournament at last place with two goals.
