2016 25th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Opening Ceremony
Simple yet meaningful, the 25th Silver Jubilee Sultan Azlan Shah Cup kicked off in a colourful ceremony which included a spectacular display of fireworks.
As you may have already read, this invitational international men’s field hockey is the longest running ever, but it has never had an “official opening ceremony” all these years.
2016 is special because it is the Silver Jubilee Edition. Yes, that’s 25 years of hockey!
The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup was brought to Stadium Azlan Shah in Ipoh in a convoy of LED-lighted trishaws that Melaka is famous for.
