One of the best things about travelling has got to be the different foods that we get to try. During my recent 3D/2N trip to Selangor, we stopped at Wadihana Islamic Kitchen, a restaurant located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. As the name can tell you, this is a halal (kosher) restaurant.
Opened about four years ago and since the beginning, led by the young but very capable Chef Syed Ahmad Zaki Syed Mustafa, the restaurant serves fusion dishes, from local, Nyonya to Western and Japanese cuisines. Wadihana Islamic Kitchen boasts an array of homemade sauces, including the special sauce for Sushi, improvised with only “halal” ingredients.
Signature dishes of Wadihana Islamic Kitchen include Soto and laksa Johor. These two are must-trys when you come here for your meal!
I had the opportunity to speak to Chef Syed Ahmad, and was surprised to learn that the restaurant has eighteen chefs! I also noticed that the front-line staff are all-male. Chef Syed Ahmad, who has some fifteen years of kitchen experience, is also the General Manager of Wadihana Group of Restaurants. Located just around the corner from Wadihana Islamic Kitchen is Wadihana Islamic Steakhouse.
Besides an à la carte menu, Wadihana Islamic Kitchen is the perfect location for social functions, reunion dinners, birthday parties, corporate events, etc. The restaurant also provides catering services.
