Today is the first day of Chinese New Year and it is the year of the Golden Rat in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Do you know of any friends or family who were born in the Year of the Rat? I think I only have one friend. That’s it.

In Chinese customs, we are not supposed to “pai nien” on the first day of Chinese New Year, we are not supposed to sweep the floor or clean the house, we are not supposed to wash our hair or clothes. Well, if you are superstitious, there are many things that you should not do today.

see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

As for me, I am only 50% superstitious. Anything that means work like cleaning, then I am dang superstitious about that haha!

Once again, I wish you all a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year. May the year ahead bring you much love, joy, peace and success in everything you do, and most importantly, good health!

This coming year, I hope that I can win the awesome 7.1MP Canon IXY Digital L4 Camera from Neil Duckett so that I can return the Olympus SP-550UZ to my friend. No matter how good the camera is, it is not mine. If I do have to return it, I know I will probably be cheap and not get one that is just as good! Winning it is the best option for me. HEHEHE!

Oh yea, if you are still eligible to receive angpows this Chinese New Year like me, perhaps you would want to check out Japan Singles, an online dating site that launched recently. Perhaps this time next year, you will be the one giving out angpows instead LOL
With love
