With Love
Well, Christmas is over. Unfortunately, I didn’t do anything special but spent the day, and the long weekend, at home, just like I did for the past seven months.

This past week, I have been chasing TVB drama, A Chip Off The Old Block, one of the funniest TVB dramas I have watched in a long while! Well, at least it is able to take my mind off the pain of nursing Snoopy for a short while.

Did you notice the holiday doodle series from Google which ran from 20th to 25th December, 2009? It is Google’s tradition to release a series of special themed doodles for the holidays replacing its original logo and this year, they have used “postcard effect” to carry the holiday message.

Although I have always enjoyed Google’s doodles that commemorate special days and events, like the Beijing Olympic series, I have to say that I am pretty disappointed with the holiday series this year. Just take a look at these screenshots that I have enclosed. I don’t feel anything “nice” about them and certainly do not feel Christmassy about them at all.

Worse, Google didn’t even wish us “Merry Christmas” on Christmas Day but just “Happy Holidays” throughout the five days that ran this doodle series. Guess it was an oversight.

This extremely cute video of a Punjabi-flavoured Jingle Bells song is, I am sure, making the rounds on the internet and via email this Christmas. I received it from two friends. It is so cute and catchy that I thought I should share it on my blog. I know I said that I wouldn’t update my blog until after Christmas but I guess I couldn’t wait to share this. Also, it wouldn’t hold the same meaning after Christmas!
I have been listening to too much of Born Rich theme songs lately from Gallen Lo’s On The Verge of Eternity to Kay Tse’s Two Rounds of Life plus the two inserts, Tiu De Haan’s remix version of O Come, O Come, Emmanual and the other Christian song, I Tell The World, looping them non-stop on my player every day since Born Rich concluded that I am sure would drive the household crazy if I do not use headphones that this Punjabi version of Jingle Bells makes a good break, even to myself. Take a listen if you haven’t yet! Enjoy!

My friend sent me a text message asking which mall in Ipoh has the best Christmas decoration this year. I replied, “None.” I didn’t let him know that despite being teased that I am “Ipoh Mally”, I haven’t been to too many malls around Christmas time to be able to make a fair comparison.

Actually, I like this decoration of Santa Claus and his reindeer which hung from the ceiling of the concourse area in Ipoh Parade. Normally, I already like the curtain of hanging lights. With Santa Claus being pulled by reindeers on his sleigh, it really fits into the Christmas theme.

My photos were actually shot quite a few days ago but I was there as well earlier this evening to catch their Christmas Samba and Rumba Dance Performance. There were only three dances performed by two dancers only. Yes, two dancers, three dances, that’s all. Even so, this sort of made up for the disastrous performance last evening even though this couple is also from the same dance school and also performed last evening. It must have been those kids.
Merry Christmas!
