I grew up watching Ripley’s Believe It or Not on TV. Perhaps because of that early influence, I have been fascinated by odd facts of the world – general knowledge that is of no use in life, maybe just help me to answer one or two questions in game shows.

You can imagine how delighted I was to discover that Ripley’s Believe It or Not has a gallery at SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting. Called Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, there are some 400 exhibits to entertain visitors.

I would suggest spending at least half a day at Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium if you are also into oddities, curiosities and all things extraordinary. Take time to read information on the exhibits, in both English and Mandarin. Shocking as they may be, these are true facts.

Take as many photos as you wish, pose with the bizarre Vampire Woman, J. T. Saylors, Johnny Eck, and numerous other displays, like the commemoration of the World Trade Centre made entirely from matchsticks.

If you are in search of prosperity, the lucky room at Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium is the right place to be. There are collections of lucky charms from tribes around the world, such as Ho Tei: The Good Luck Buddha. Have your wish granted by rubbing his enormous belly.

I highly recommend Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium – it is also suitable for children. There’s so much to learn here, things that we do not ordinarily come across.
