Putrajaya Equestrian Park
I was ecstatic when we visited the Putrajaya Equestrian Park or Taman Ekuestrian Putrajaya (TEP) where we got to go on horse-riding. Horses are amazing animals, though they could be quite scary.
There are a total of sixty horses at this equestrian park, where 49 are owned by the park while the rest have owners who have rented stables here. Most of the horses here are suitable for riding, jumping and dressage only.
TEP offers horse riding classes: Beginner, Intermediate and Advance levels. Riding packages start from RM380 for eight lessons. Minimum age to begin riding lessons is seven years old but height is a considering factor.
Beginners’ course includes horse sense, safety rules and their reasons, horse care and handling. Basics of horsemanship are mounting and dismounting, seat and hand position and also basic aids.
Having had a taste of horse-riding, it would be fun if I could take up horse-riding classes. Now, to overcome the fear of being bitten by horses…
Opening hours:
Tuesdays to Sundays: 7.45am – 11.45am & 4.15pm – 7.15pm (closed on Mondays).
