The official residence of the Perak Menteri Besar (Chief Minister of Perak) became the venue for Perak state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri and 54th National Day celebrations-cum-open house yesterday.
It was a long but cheerful afternoon for all of us who attended the double celebration, which was also graced by the Perak royal families at 5pm, led by HRH Sultan of Perak.
Earlier, Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, and his wife, Datin Seri Saripah Zulkifli, led Perak state leaders on a walkabout within the compound of the house to greet and meet, and also pose for photographs, with the public. Kids were given “duit raya” irrespective of race.
