Noah’s Ark Ipoh Animal Welfare World Animal Day 2014
It was World Animal Day on October 4. In recognition of the day, Noah’s Ark Ipoh organised a doggie event-cum-fund raiser at the field in Ipoh Garden South.
Although the occasion was on a modest scale with a small number of dogs, it still attracted quite a crowd.
According to the promotional poster, it was a CARNIVAL with food stalls… Cakes n Cookies… Exotic Food… Celebrity Food Stall… English Burgers… German Food… Bric a Bracks… Indian Food… Vietnamese Cookies… Animal Treats n Food… Sale of T shirts… Hip hop Dancing… Talks on Animal Welfare… Best Behaved DOG CONTEST… Malaysian Breed DOG PARADEeeeeee and many moreeeeeeeeeeee..
I arrived at the venue just in time to catch the dog parade. There were only a handful of participating dogs, but the owners still had a good time because every dog won a prize.
I stayed for half an hour only because it was burning hot outdoors, and managed to get some shots from the event. Check them out.

Hi Cje,
I have asked around for you. Currently there are no shelters in Ipoh that will take in anymore animals on a permanent basis.
What you can do to help is just feed the cat regularly and give her a safe place like a box.
Cats are very capable of taking care of themselves.
Hi, Emily. I love animals, particularly dogs, but at present I am unable to adopt any. However I am interested in volunteering my service to animal welfare groups such as ISPCA or Noah’s Ark Ipoh (I first came across Noah’s Ark in an article in Ipoh ECHO newspaper). I live in Ipoh & have come across some acts of cruelty towards animals. Recently I came across an article in the Star Newspaper on the Kiko Food Bank which supplies food to hundreds of animal shelters around Ipoh. Since then, I’ve also become interested in volunteering for Kiko Food Bank. Unfortunately, I’m unable to find any contact tel no or address for Kiko Food Bank or Noah’s Ark or SPCA Ipoh despite using Google search & Facebook. It’s very frustrating! How can I help in animal welfare activities when all these groups would not give their address or tel no? Can you give me more info as I’m genuinely interested in helping? Communication by Facebook is very difficult (although I have a Facebook account) & the easiest way of communication is by email or telephone. I’m reluctant to reveal my email or tel no in a public website or on Facebook for obvious reasons- I’m an individual who value my privacy but I feel a public organisation such as Noah’s Ark should reveal their contact info
