bringing 2 U events & happenings in and around Ipoh … & beyond…
Malaysia Property Expo (MAPEX) 2011, organised by The Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association of Malaysia (REDHA) in conjunction with Ipoh City Day anniversary, begins today at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh, Perak. I was lucky to arrive just as it was being launched by Y.B. Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon, who gave a very lengthy speech on the current development plans in Perak.
MAPEX in Ipoh this time around is a smallish affair, unfortunately. There are about thirty exhibitors only, out of which twenty are property developers. The rest are made up of credit card and holiday packages resellers, broadband internet and domestic water pressure system providers and a company that sells kitchen appliances.
All the properties being exhibited are new developments in and around Ipoh, including the new Mont Bleu Residence developed by Sunway City Berhad as part of the Sunway City Integrated Resort (IR) Township located in Tambun, Taman Galeri Suria in Fair Park, Ipoh and Total Investment’s residential development in Tiara Lake Park, Taman Pengkalan Tiara.
I didn’t have enough time to really evaluate the properties this morning but I intend to make a second visit to see which properties qualify for My First Home Scheme (Skim Rumah Pertamaku – SRP).
