Laman Tiga Budaya – The Point Where Three States Meet

It is always said that “it’s not about the destination but the journey”. However, going to the small town of Asahan in Melaka’s District of Jasin, it is totally about the destination.

In one particular spot in the town of Asahan (landmark: Asahan Water Theme Park) is the point where three states meet. The states are Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Johor.

I have always been fascinated by border points, like the one of Pengkalan Hulu (Perak, Malaysia) / Betong (Thailand). Similarly, the Selangor / Pahang border of Genting Highlands and also the point where Fraser’s Hill straddles both states of Selangor and Pahang.

Another unique point worth mentioning would be Perak’s Kerian District, which is located in the north, bordering Seberang Perai Selatan District (Penang) and Bandar Baharu District (Kedah).

But what makes Laman Tiga Budaya so fascinating, at least for me, is that the exact meeting point of the three states is marked. If anyone tells you that it is impossible to be in three Malaysian states at the same time, you can prove them wrong here, at the foot of Gunung Ledang.

I am glad to have discovered this point of three states when we were in the area to support the “Save Our Waterfall” campaign.
