Visited “Thong Sui Kai” for the 3rd Karnival Penjaja Ipoh. Was there last year also but missed the first year it was held two years ago. I was there for the launch again, just like how I walked into it last year. The guest of honour this time was Y.B. Dato’ Lee Chee Leong, Member of Parliament (Kampar) and Deputy Home Minister.

This year’s hawker food carnival seemed larger with more participating stalls compared to the year before, but I could be wrong. I didn’t count the stalls but it looked like over a hundred.

Once again, this was organised by MCA Ipoh Timur Division with the support of the state government through Tourism Perak. It is a good idea to gather all the popular local food in one spot so that those not familiar with our delicacies could do so conveniently during the three-day carnival.
