Ipoh Vintage Car Club CNY Gathering
The new officially formed Ipoh Vintage Car Club organised a gathering among members, fellow vintage car hobbyists and friends, in conjunction with Chinese New Year, and the club’s third anniversary.
Yup, it was a double celebration of sorts. And to top it off, the God of Prosperity dropped by to bless everyone with, what else, but prosperity!
The vintage car club gathers every Sunday morning at the car park of Stadium Perak, but this morning’s, with some 50 vehicles, was one of the largest gatherings by the club in recent memory.
This gathering also brought together vintage and classic models from different eras, mostly owned by Ipoh folks, but the blue/white Fiat 600D (pic: below) came all the way from Tanjung Malim.
And for the love of cars, some owners even took the trouble to display all the cars they own. I take my hat off to them for taking the trouble to make the trip home FOUR times to drive their cars over.

By the way, this wasn’t just a social gathering, it was also sort of an “open house” with the amount of food that went around! 🙂
Oh yes, the club has about 30+ members now. Those interested to join the club can just drive over to the car park of Stadium Perak on Sunday mornings, and ask for Uncle Chow. See you there!
