Ipoh Chinese Chinwoo Athletic Association brought early Chinese New Year cheer to the marginalised communities in Ipoh, visiting senior citizens’ homes, orphanages and homes for the disabled, bearing festive goodies, gifts, and most of all, ang pow!

This is an annual charity event by the association in conjunction with Chinese New Year, and it was no different as we gallop into the Year of the Stallion.

Chinese New Year is definitely an opportune time for such a charity drive, to show love and care to these forgotten communities, to show them that they are indeed in our thoughts.

No doubt, this may be a one-a-year programme, but Ipoh Chinwoo continues to organise charitable events throughout the year, such as blood donation drives and recycling campaigns, for the benefit of other segments of society.
