Seven cast members of the Go! Go! Oh My God! (神仙到你家) Chinese New Year movie was on a promotional tour that brought them to Ipoh, much to the delight of local fans. This movie is only released on DVD, so it was a great opportunity for fans to grab a copy of the DVD, which was selling at a discounted price of RM20 each only during the tour.

Although I did not update myself on the storyline of the movie prior to attending the event, I was happy to see some of the artistes that I used to watch on TV in HVD productions, like Foo Chee Kin, Jacky Kam and Angela Chan Mei Ngor. My, come to think of it, that was certainly a long time ago! But it’s great to see them doing well in their careers.

Besides taking on a role in this movie, Angela Chan is also the Executive Director of New Pro Star, the music & movie production house-cum-event management company that brought the stars on this promo tour.

From what I learned, this local production, released in conjunction with Chinese New Year, was filmed on location in Bentong, Pahang, for a duration of six days. Also, the dialogue is a mixture of local languages and dialects, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Teochew.
