With Love
I chanced upon this great article, titled 25 Steps to Launching Your Blog and Making $100+ A Month in 30 Days, this morning. See, I am so damn free now I even have time to research on blogging. After reading the article though, I realized that I have done most the 25 points as advised by Upstart Blogger except for networking. I know, I know I need to network! BADLY!
The thing is, I am trying not to place advertisements in any form on my blog. This is my beloved blog that carries my name and I would like to keep it totally ad-free for as long as possible.
My blog is over four months old now and I didn’t even earn US$1, let alone earn US$100 in thirty days. I feel like a total failure now. SIGH! Do you have any idea how not to place advertisements and yet earn money? Ah… I think it’s time to dig the NewsRoom before my hosting bill arrives.

Finally, Tricia emailed me yesterday to inform that I am included on the DoFollow blogroll. It’s a good way to drive traffic and comments to your site but the down side is attracting insincere people who will leave comments just to get some link juice. And to counter that, I am going to delete all comments by people with commercialized IDs and to only turn on DoFollow from the eleventh comment onwards.
So lest you think that my blog should not be included in the DoFollow blogroll because it does not follow, it does.
Anyway, I am going to kill myself with the technicalities of WordPress. I just bought four new domains and I have an old domain that I acquired a year ago and did nothing with it, so this will keep me pretty busy for a while and I am so going to neglect my blogs once again *sigh* I only have so much time in a day and night lah
Hey, I surprised myself that I managed to get my personal site going and installing WordPress on my new blogs. Wah.. I can do that!?! See, it has been so slow going lately that I even have the time to learn and spoil my eyes with all the coding. Setting up new blogs and websites is actually not difficult because once you have been shown once, you can do the same thing a thousand times over.
Although I would like the start even more blogs, the thing that is stopping me is searching for the perfect theme, customizing it, installing plug-ins, backing up data regularly and up-dating WordPress and plug-ins to their latest version. I wish there’s someone to take care of all these for me so that I could just concentrate on content. Blekkk

My blog buddies Albie and Angel O’liu liu have this thing called The Hug-Hug Club over at their blogs. Oh, I jeles because I don’t have such a club. Nobody wants to hug me. I am unloved. I have failed as a blogger. SIGH!
Although I have no plans to monetize this blog, I still want to raise my traffic and RSS subscribers. Why? It makes me feel good to see people reading, commenting and linking to me. In short, I need the motivation to blog.

I first heard of RSSHugger about two months ago [or so] from John Chow’s blog. I must admit, I just skimmed though the post because I thought it was a paid review, rightly or wrongly, and I don’t read paid reviews. Naturally, I did not click on the link provided in the article. Yes, despite John Chow’s extraordinarily high click through rate, I did not click on it.
Just now, I came upon a blog which I have even forgotten its address unless I backtrack and check the history of my browser [lazy] with a post on RSSHugger. I read that joining RSSHugger could help increase our readership and RSS subscribers. I definitely could do with an increment on both!
I signed up just now and hopefully, it would bring me a little bit more traffic than I have now. By the way, if you have not already subscribed to my RSS feed, please do so. Visit often and leave me a comment too so that this blog will not die a quiet, lonely death.
