Chinese New Year falls on Feb 19 this year. It will be the Year of the Goat (or Ram/Sheep, if you prefer) in Chinese Zodiac.

Every Chinese New Year at the Enlightened Heart Tibetan Buddhist Temple, devotees follow a certain programme in a symbolic brightening of their life’s path for the coming year.

1st day of Chinese New Year (19th Feb, 2015)
– lighting of oil lamp and lotus lamp for 15 days (for individual and family)
– lighting of dragon incense and big incense
– lighting of incense coil

5th day of Chinese New Year (23rd Feb, 2015)
9.35am – 11.35am – prayer / blessing ceremony of Lord Yellow Dzambhala (Deity of Wealth) and Goddess Sitatapatra (White Umbrella Goddess)

15th day of Chinese New Year (3rd March, 2015)
– lighting of dragon incense, big incense, coil incense and lotus lamp

10am – 12pm – a prayer / blessing ceremony for devotees to enhance their fortune, wealth and luck by carrying the statue of Lord Yellow Dzambala
12pm – complimentary vegetarian lunch will be provided for all devotees
