23rd SAS Cup 2014: Day 2 – China (5) – South Africa (0)
China bounced back from a 0 – 7 loss to world number 1 Australia the day earlier to stun South Africa.
Scoring five goals in the first half of the game, from one penalty corner and four field goals, the South African boys seemed to have no answer for the young Chinese players.
Chinese coach Cui Yingbiao said that the turnaround was because his players were unprepared to face the mighty Aussies in their first game. They certainly found their footing this time.
South Africa, a World Cup qualifying team, have so far played two matches, with zero points to show. They will play Australia on Monday. That’s going to be interesting to watch.
