1 top ten personalities

A year ago, I bumped into CNY Reunion 178 at Ipoh Parade. This year, ten household names from OneFM, ntv7 & 8tv, which make up “178″, are back in Ipoh. The show, this time hosted at De Garden, was brought in by Penang-based Soulin Events. The event company also brought Justin Lo to De Garden in October last year.

I’ll just admit outright that one year on, I am still as banana as I was last year. However, being the event blogger that I am, I went where the action was, and so, I have plenty of photos of the CNY Reunion 178 programme to show you today.

While I may not be able to tell who’s who since I do not listen to the radio or watch TV, I do know that the personalities who graced our shores were Jane, Kyan and Suki from OneFM, Kyo 莊仲维, Aenie 王淑君 and Mayjune 陈美君 from ntv7 and Winson 温胜光，Rickman 谢承伟，MeiSim 云镁鑫 and Orange 陈惠恬 from 8tv. Now, I’ll leave the task of matching those in the photos with these names to you.

The crowd was fantastic, I must say. No matter young or old, they really enjoyed themselves. It was crazy when the 178 peeps gave out angpow packets. And those were without cash! I guess anyone who sees his or her idol come to life would go berserk as well.

Fans also had the opportunity to purchase a special edition CD+DVD, which came with a free poster, at a price of RM29.90. They were later allowed to get on stage for the autographs of the artistes. The autograph session was a fitting finale to the event, since not all fans were lucky enough to be chosen to participate in earlier game sessions with their favourite artistes and take home gift hampers.
